How Lifestyle Product Scenes Works

Put a product — or a whole video clip — into a lifestyle scene: remove the background first, then pick a scene in the image or video editor and it shows through everywhere the subject is not.

Step-by-step process

  1. 1

    Cut the subject out

Run your product photo through the background remover (Fast or Best Quality), or a clip through the video background remover. The result carries real alpha — soft edges preserved — which is what lets a scene show through behind it.

  2. 2

    Pick a scene

In the image editor, choose a scene or any custom image as the background layer behind your cutout. In the video editor, the Lifestyle Scenes panel offers curated scenes by category — kitchen, outdoor, desk, retail, seasonal — rendered locally and placed behind the clip. If the clip is still opaque, the editor says so and offers to remove the background in place.

  3. 3

    Adjust and export

Position layers, tune colour grading so the subject sits naturally in the scene, and export — PNG from the image editor, MP4 or transparent WebM from the video editor. Everything composites on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the scene not appear behind my video?

The clip still has its original background — an opaque video covers the scene completely. Use the "Remove background" prompt in the editor's Background panel (or the video background remover first); once the clip has real alpha, the scene shows through.

Can I use my own background?

Yes — both editors accept any uploaded image as the background in addition to the built-in scenes.

What product types work best?

Clearly-edged products photographed against reasonably uniform backgrounds. For glass and transparent packaging, enable the background remover's glass mode so interior transparency survives the cutout.
