What metadata is removed?
All EXIF data including GPS coordinates, camera make and model, lens info, date/time, software, and copyright strings. ICC colour profiles are retained so colours look the same.
Does removing metadata change the file size?
Slightly. EXIF data is typically 5–50 kB, so the output is a little smaller. The pixel content and quality are unchanged.
