Frequently asked questions
How many colours does it extract?
Between 4 and 16 colours depending on the image content. The tool automatically determines the most distinct palette colours — you can also set a target count.
Why are the extracted colours slightly different from what I see in the image?
The algorithm clusters similar colours into representative swatches. A gradient sky might become 2–3 representative blues rather than dozens of nearly identical ones.
Can I use this to identify brand colours from a logo?
Yes. Drop the logo PNG and the dominant palette colours will be extracted. For best results, use a version of the logo with a transparent or white background so the background does not skew the palette.
