Step-by-step guide

Photograph the item
Any solid background works. A large piece of cardboard or a sheet helps. Good light is most important — avoid harsh shadows.

Drop the image onto NSS. For items with fine detail, use Best Quality mode.

Clean up the edges
Use the brush tool to remove any remaining background bits. The Expand/Contract slider in Edge Refinement helps with halos.

Does eBay have background requirements like Amazon?
