Step-by-step guide

Photograph your product
Natural light + a white foam board makes a great free lightbox. Good lighting is more important than a professional camera.

Drag your photo onto the upload zone. For jewellery and small items, choose Best Quality mode before uploading.

Open in the editor. Use the brush tool to clean up any background remnants, especially near handles, chains, or fabric edges.

Common questions
What background colour should I use for Etsy listings?
Etsy doesn't mandate a specific background colour like Amazon does, but white or very light grey is the convention for top sellers. It makes products look clean and professional.
Can I process photos taken on my phone?
Yes. NSS accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC (iPhone photos). HEIC files are converted automatically.
My earrings have thin chains — will it get the details right?
Use Best Quality (RMBG-2.0) mode. It handles fine details significantly better than the Fast mode. You may still want to do a quick brush-over for very thin chains.
How do I use my cutout in Canva?
