Common questions

Why does the transparent GIF have jagged edges?

GIF format only supports 1-bit transparency — each pixel is either fully transparent or fully opaque. For soft, anti-aliased edges, export the source video as WebM using our Video BG Remover.

How long does processing take?

Approximately 1–2 seconds per frame. A 30-frame GIF takes around 30–60 seconds depending on your device.

Is there a frame count limit?

No hard limit, but we recommend GIFs under 100 frames for reasonable processing times.

Can I replace the background instead of removing it?

Yes. In the queue, choose Solid Colour as the background and pick any colour before downloading.
