Step-by-step guide

Photograph against any solid background
Your products don't need a white background to start — any solid colour works. Good light matters more than the backdrop.

Drag your product images into the upload zone. Select Fast mode for simple products, Best Quality for fabric, jewellery, or complex shapes.

Review and refine
Open each processed image. Use the brush to clean up corners or fine edges. Use Edge Refinement to soften or sharpen the cutout edge.

Set your output background
For Shopify main images: white (#ffffff). For marketing: any colour or gradient.

Common questions
Do I need to install a Shopify app?
No. NSS is a standalone web tool. Open it in any browser, process your images, and upload the results to your Shopify admin. No app install, no permissions.
What format does Shopify prefer?
JPG for photos with backgrounds (smaller file, faster load), PNG for transparent images. Shopify recommends 2048 × 2048 px for product images.
Can I batch process my whole catalogue?
Up to 20 images at a time. Export as ZIP, then bulk upload to Shopify via the Shopify product CSV import or third-party bulk image tools.
