Step-by-step guide

Common questions

Why do the edges of my transparent GIF look jagged?

The GIF format only supports 1-bit transparency — each pixel is either fully opaque or fully transparent, with no partial values. For smooth anti-aliased edges, export the source video as WebM using the Video BG Remover.

How many frames can I process?

There is no hard frame limit, but GIFs with more than 100 frames may take several minutes. We recommend keeping GIFs under 60 frames for practical processing times.

Is my GIF uploaded to any server?

No. All processing runs locally in your browser. Your GIF never leaves your device.

Can I use this for Telegram animated stickers?

Telegram animated stickers use WebM (VP9), not GIF. Process your video clip through the Video BG Remover for WebM output instead.
