Screen capture with transparency

How it works

The screen capture tool:

1. Uses your browser's Screen Capture API to capture a screenshot of your screen, window, or browser tab
2. Runs AI background removal on the captured image
3. Exports the result as a transparent PNG

Your screen content is processed locally — nothing is transmitted to any server.

Browser support

Screen capture requires a browser that supports getDisplayMedia. Supported in:

• Chrome 72+
• Edge 79+
• Firefox 66+ (requires user permission prompt)
• Safari 13+ (tab capture only — no full-screen or window capture)

Step-by-step

1. Go to the Screen Capture tool
2. Click Capture screen
3. Your browser shows a picker — choose your screen, window, or tab
4. Click Share to confirm
5. The capture is processed automatically
6. Download the transparent PNG

Tips

• Capture a specific window (not full screen) for cleaner subjects with less background noise
• Works well for: app icons, browser mockups, UI elements on a white background, website screenshots
• Works poorly for: complex photographic backgrounds, scenes without a clear subject/background separation
